The Effect of Using Educational Games on the Students' Achievement in English Language for the Primary Stage

1.Is it useful to use games in teaching English Language?
The use of games in teaching english language help children to reduce stress during their studying. They make children  funny, happy, interesting and comfortable when they are playing games, which will help children concentrate on the lesson and learn better. Morever, children will remember  English words according to games the most effectively

2.Do games create an interactive environment in the classroom?
Games create an interactive environment in the classroom, of course because  is an excelent tool for the students. With an intuitive user-interface and easy to use editor, students will definitely enjoy creating their personalized learning apps. As a teacher, you can use TinyTap to design engaging educational activities for your class. Several teachers use game with the objetive that all the class have things in common.

3.Do games facilitate learning a foreign language?
Playing games has a positive influence in a second language acquisition process. These, games should also be beneficial in second language acquisition among adults.Games are an important part of learning experience in a foreign language classroom.

4.Is there a relation between learning theories (Behaviorism learning theory,
Cognitivism learning theory and Constructivism learning theory - and
Games)?
Skinner and the concept of operant conditioning. Behaviorism theorists believe that knowledge exists independently and outside of people. ...Behaviorists believe that learning actually occurs when new behaviors or changes in behaviors are acquired through associations between stimuli and responses.

5.Do games belong to a specific learning theory?
Game-based learning is built upon a constructivist type of learning. What does this mean? Constructivism posits the need to provide students with the necessary tools so they can build their own procedures in order to solve a problem. This implies a participatory process by students, who interact with their environment to solve the situation that is being set out to them.

6.Do games encourage students to solve unstructured problems, communicate, navigate, and evaluate and use the second language effectively?
In the present study, it was illustrated that a good teaching method helps the students to question their preconceptions, and motivates them to learn, by putting them in a situation in which they come to see themselves as the authors of answers, as the agents of responsibility for change. But training through this method has some barriers and requirements.

7.Do games encourage students to learn independently as well as work
collaboratively?
In the more traditional "teacher-centered learning" environment, the teacher is center of the learning experience and takes the "active" role of teaching, while the students assume a more "passive" or receptive role. In contrast, in the student-centered learning environment, the interests of the students' take center stage and the teacher gives students choice and voice, finding ways to provide learning experiences that focus on what students value. In the student-centered classroom, students take a more "active" role in the education experience.

8.Does the use of educational games enhance creativity; improve design skills and the ability to present information using the second language?
Critical thinking is at the core of most intellectual activity that involves students learning to recognize or develop an argument, use evidence in support of that argument, draw reasoned conclusions, and use information to solve problems. Examples of critical thinking skills are interpreting, analyze, evaluating, explaining, sequencing, reasoning, comparing, questioning, inferring, hypothesing, appraising, testing and generalising.

9.What effect does educational games use have on students' motivation?
Active educational video games (AVGs) appear to have a positive effect on elementary school students' motivation leading to enhanced learning outcomes. The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of an AVG on elementary school students' science knowledge learning, physical activity (PA) level, and interest-based motivation.

10.Do games influence students' achievement?
Video games are a popular extracurricular activity for students at all levels of study. They are an important part of a student's social life and are an enjoyable activity whether one is playing games alone or in a group. There has been a great deal of controversy over the effect that video games have on student's grades. Some claim that video games have a negative impact on students grades while others claim that playing video games has no effect on student's grades, no matter how frequently they play video games. However; neither of these arguments is completely accurate as whether or not playing video games affects your grades is influenced by other factors such as time and frequency of game play. It can be hypothesized that spending more than 10 hours per week playing video games can have a negative effect on student academic performance. However; playing less than ten hours per week will have little if any affect on academic performance.
